The annual CJTennis Men's Singles Championship was first contested in 2021, with Saamy Phan (pictured) winning the inaugural event. Curtis Austin currently holds the most titles, winning the tournament 3 times.
The tournament is summer long, with group stages starting in June, before moving into the knockouts in July, and culminating with finals day in late August.
Prize Money and Awards to be won! The Champion takes home $500, and Runner-Up receives $100.
The trophy is named after Jay Watcham, close friend of our CEO, Curtis. Jay sadly passed away unexpectedly in 2019 from complications with epilepsy, at age 27.
Jay was an avid tennis player and staple of his local community. In 2016, Jay and Curtis played an epic 24 hour singles match on the hottest day of the year, raising money for charity.
All entry fees are donated to SUPPORT DOGS UK, for the training of epilepsy seizure alert dogs. The Jay Watcham Cup has raised over $6000 for the charity since 2020.
